another look at changing chemicals

About a month ago, I wrote about a change in Soda feldspars.
Especially since I couldn't get Kona...only Unispar!

I was finally hit with the every changing chemical bug!

I use Rhodes 32 and I prefer a soda spar instead of the
potash. It makes it more buttery!

I noticed a big change in the new batch! I have realized it's
best to let the glaze set for several weeks. Let all of those
bacterias work their magic! I'm noticing the longer the better!

Make, mix, sieve and ferment!

Can I plead the 5th on this...I do not want to
say anything else that might incriminate me.

In other words...open mouth and insert foot!

Dear Steve Dalton,
Are you telling us that fermentation is an important phase in the
preparation of a glaze?
I would be pleased if you would elaborate, origins of the idea,
causes, effects and so forth.
Best regards,

Dear Steve Dalton,
You are one Great Guy.
We are all prone to this mistake. Never met anyone who was exempt.
Have a good weekend.
Best regards,
Ivor
