Overview:

=20

This 8 day workshop is designed to acquaint both the experienced and =
inexperienced potter with new design and materials techniques, in an =
exotic setting. Much of the focus will be on jewelry: because of the =
varied materials to be tried, and forming techniques, jewelry allows =
much more experimentation within the time frame, fast drying and firing =
and therefore more knowledge/experience to take home. We will not do =
wheel work during regular scheduled class time, but we can do private =
lessons at other times, if time permits. If there is a criticism of the =
class, it probably will be that we tried to cover too much without =
sufficient depth, however, the idea is to take new approaches home, and =
try what inspires you---and---get over any fear of experimentation or =
innovation in formulation or firing...we can talk about anything "in =
depth" that interests you...

=20

You will stay in an old colonial home with the adult students here for =
other workshops by Liza and staff. It's a great, luxurious "summer =
