Just spent last night wet sanding the bottoms of an 8-place setting
wedding set for my daughter. I've been in love with every step in this
whole process I undertook. And the hand sanding last night, making smooth
every bottom, reminded me so much of the day she was born. And all the
baby baths I gave her.
There is all the alchemy and technical processes in creating pottery. But
it's the heart and soul part that reaches out to me at night and drags my
tired body down to my studio.
