I thought I'd throw this into the soup of discussion. What is the thought
on this 'soluable shino' type glaze formula? ^5-6

Colemanite/Gerstly borate 4.9
Soda Ash 2.9
Nephyline syenite 54.5
Spodumene 22.8
Ball clay 14.9
Thanks,

Eric,

We used this glaze (I think we added 1.5 Bentonite), when we
fired in Craig Edward's bourry box/cantenary arch woodkiln. We put it
in the cool places. We mixed it with a cone10 shino glaze and put
that in the medium temp area and the cone 10 in the hot spots.

It worked well in in wood fire..

Craig and Lynn arrive at Narita airport in a couple hours.
Can't wait to hear about their stay in Korea.

Hi Eric,

Not having used it - I am wondering how it works - I would like to
refomulate it and see if the results could be the same with other materials
but be a more stable glaze in the bucket.

Do you want to try a few variations?
