eva: bisque fire for raku at cone 2

Hi Eva!
I've had some of my students try reglazing work they had already taken
to cone 10. It's a bit tricky but a liberal amount of extra-strength
Aqua-Net hair spray applied over the areas you want to glaze with the raku
glaze helps. Don't dip or brush on the glaze and let the hair spray dry
completely. Find someone with a spray booth and gradually layer the glaze
till you get to the thickness you want.
This really only works well if your claybody already has some grog to
it. A fine body already vitrified and then rakued will crack if not
shatter...
But experiment and see!!

Hi Megan,
Thanks for the hairspray suggestion. I was trying the flameware clay - it is
supposed to be more thermal shock proof but will try more of the closed
forms which might work better.
