tile work question--ot

Howdy y'all:

I have a question for all of the tile layers on the list. I have a slab
that is flat (not depressed) but still collects water. I want to put
tile down and grade it so the water will drain back off. Anyone have
any experience with this type of situation. I thought maybe I could put
an initial application of thin set down, let set for 24 then do the tile
work.

This is a project that I prommised the clay bud who taught me how to
throw. She has a breeze way between her house and studio/garage that
collects rainwater as it blows in through the screens. We thought that
when I tile it I can put a slope on the tile floor and help the water
drain back out.

Thanks for the help, claytown.

How much of an incline are you trying to achieve and over what area and
what distance. There are different grades of thinset. I have used a
type designed to set stone and marble and is supposed to do well when
applied more thickly than normal.
