Hi,

I spend a lot of time in my studio listening to audio books from the
library. I have in fact listened to almost everything that they have
that I want to listen to, and have begun to search around for a good
audio book club. I want a good selection of UNABRIDGED books that I
can either download or rent - not looking to buy here. I've done a web
search and there seem to be many out there - some based on the
Netflicks idea that for one monthly fee you can rent as many audio
books as you like.

I'm just wondering if any of you have joined such a club and have
recommendations?

Our local library (a branch of a larger library) has a catalog of books on
tape and cd, that is just wonderful. They are FREE. They can be checked out for
3 weeks and renewed over the phone or by computer!

And if they do not have the book on tape, they can get it using the
intra-library loan system.

Because this nearest branch is almost 15 miles from me, I always order the
limit (10 books) by computer on their web site, they telephone me when they are
in, and I pick them up all at once. Then I renew them by phone or computer
and return them when I'm finished with them, and my next order is ready to be
picked up.
