The recipe for this glaze was pulled from Clayart archives and tested on cone 6 porcelain.

Gerstley Borate 19
Lithium 6
Alberta Slip 56
Silica 9
F4 Feldspar 9
Zircopax 9
Tin Oxide 5

100 gram total

I should be trying the Golden Fake Ash, cone6, very soon. There are many additional posts related to this shino in the archives including one from the originator who explains how the glaze came to be and requests it be renamed, though I can't recall the name.

Have a great day everyone..

Tracy

Hi Tracy,

There are some sases when 6% Lithium - on some clay bodies - will produce
strange fit problems - like shivering and also shivering and crazing at the
same time.

I would not publish a glaze with more than two % Lithium Carb.

Test carefully for fit problems on the clays you use.
