Hi claybuds,

I don't know the answer for this question but I did stay at a
Holiday Inn last night..

Seriously, I bought a pie plate from Hess Pottery in Reed Springs, Missouri
a few weeks back. It was fired to Cone 04 with nothing but 4 layers of
terra sig. The thing bakes great!! No glaze and as slick as a whistle. It
was worth the stop to see his building he calls a yurt. He explains his
whole process on his website www.hesspottery.com . Really nice guy, reminds
me of an old hippie (this is from a young hippie).

Lynn. This is stunning work. The simplicity is beautiful. Like
Yixing teapots (Jean thought so too when she saw them.). Shakers and
Tea Masters would appreciate the work, as well as Sweds or Bauhaus. :-)
We need not be stuck in the industrial, assembly line,. ticky/tacky
mindset. ;-)
