Rick talks about how wildly the blue pots sold ......
'When the doors opened we were slammed with customers who were loading
their boxes and bags with pots. '
Then like a lot of others who have posted in the past, he brags ....
'Ps. we do not have such a glaze where I teach, would not allow it.'
Are potters the only people on earth who are proud they don't
supply what their customers want?
Do you have that much contempt for your clients' taste?
Are these the same people who can't figure out why all their lovely
brown pots sit unappreciated and unsold? ( Ok maybe other potters
tell you how wonderful they are.)
Blue is not evil.
Blue is the color of a sunny clear sky.
Blue is the color of the clean ocean water.
Blue is cool, restful and refreshing.
I confess, I have lots of blue pots myself. Maybe I should hide them
behind the brown ones when potters visit.
Chris Campbell - in North Carolina - who just came back from visiting
Tony & Sheila Clennell and bought lots of their new, eye popping shino's.
Incredible gold with flecks, lustres and the nicest green ever. They are going
to knock you out at the Wood Firing Conference! ( and no, I am not the one
with the photo albums ... I am the wino potter ... grin )
