question for north carolina potters

updated mon 10 jan 05

We are going to North Carolina next month and are interested in mountain
property within an hour or an hour and a half from Asheville, where I could set up
a pottery and sales area.
I'd love to know from any of your N.Carolina potters if you know which, if
any communities allow potters to work and sell from home, permit gas or wood
kilns,etc.
Any information about the area would be greatly appreciated.
You can email me directly to avoid cluttering up the list.

Warm regards,
June Perry

I have heard the one day show in Shelby is wonderful. I've never done it
and never been but several of my potter friends did the show last year and
this year and have put it on their must do list. Patricia

Subject: question for North Carolina potters

Hi gang,
Been away awhile, or lurking more like it.
Busy Busy Busy
After working out a few bugs with my personal
health, I finally got to do something I have been
trying to get around to for a while.
I mixed my first cone 6 glazes Ron and John's
wonderful book that was sent to me
through the clay it forward program.
I was thoroughly delighted with the results of
my first firing with the exception of one glaze,
Can you guess? I am going to borrow my
daughters digital camera and let you all see
my results.

In regards for the question mentioned in the
subject line, do any of you know anything about
a one day show in Shelby NC sometime in
November? A potter friend of mine asked me
to ask you all.
You may email me at gemini53@weblnk.net
if you have any information.

Thanks a bunch,
and I hope all of you on the list had a great
holiday season.

(excited to be back in the clay)
