spray booth from window well

My studio is in my basement, which has window wells all around. I made a
spray booth by removing the glass from one (it pops in and out), making a
floor from plywood, making a cap from marine plywood, and then mounting an
inexpensive stove exhaust fan on the inside of the cap, with an aluminum
roof fan exhaust hood (rainproof, and blows open only when the fan is on).
The CFM is probably twice that of the average commercial spray booth, and
the filters are easily popped out and rinsed. The exhaust fan also had a
built in light, which makes seeing what you're spraying pretty easy.

I had to do some foaming and sealing to keep out the rain, but it works
great and obviously exhausts outside. Also, since the cap just sits on the
metal well frame, it can be lifted off when necessary (or to use the well as
a fire escape).

Just another make-it-yerself spray booth idea.
