>I still love those glazes, the pots and the memories and feelings
that those *70's* glazes evoke for me. Are they *dated* ? ...perhaps,
but for *semi* grown up flower children like me they will always remind
me of my roots as a potter.

Those glazes make me think of September afternoons,
.... big bowls(iron spotted with throwing rings) of ripe tomatoes and
apples,
bread rising, the smell of fresh dill and cukes.

Fall craft sales, firing a kiln at 4 am while the coyotes howled ....
.the harvest, golds rusts and browns to match the priairie
landscape.

Mugs with handles that fit your hand, cool mornings at the cottage
with my favorite mug filled with hot coffee.

I...all pots have their time...their meaning, and their context..

the maker and ultimately the user fills that in.

I confess I still have a 10 gal vat of Tony's white and one of Bamboo that
get a regular workout in my studio every fall.

Kathy (who has accepted being *dated* or is that *stale dated*)
