Be careful of the eye area because my poor husband who was my model got a bad irritation from plaster that had seeped into one eye. I felt terrible, but he was a very good sport about it. It made a great mask form, that just needed a little detail work to it after it hardened. But it wouldn't be worth damage to an eye. Plus, now when I need him to help me with a project, I sense he is a little hesitant. Can't blame him! Toni in OHio

I also had a similarly painful and potentially dangerous experience with
plaster. I even knew what I was doing in that I've made a number of
plaster castings of faces over the years. This time the hair ripping was
of a much more personal and painful nature. Read my last post regarding
masks for the gory details.
