#1227 ferguson shino, ken or tony?

I have seen this glaze recipe several places, like Mel's "Black Shino"
article in CM, and John Britt's new book (which I just got yesterday and am
still devouring). I would like to know if this is from Ken Ferguson, or from
Tony Ferguson, or maybe another Ferguson altogether. This a matter of
wanting to know the pottery roots. My mentor was a student of Ken
Ferguson's, so I would like to work with some of his materials, exploring
the Kansas City ceramics history.
Thanks to anyone who might know!

Pam -
My college professor was a student/apprentice of Mckenzie's...We used to
use Fergie's (Ken) Shino regularly in our studio. We asked about the roots
of the glaze once too, and he told us that the glaze was actually developed
by Ginny Marsh at the University of Minnesota while as a student there
under Mckenzie, and then when either Mckenzie or Marsh shared it with
Ferguson, his name got attached to it somehow. Usual disclaimers though -
just something I remember from class one day. I'm sure Mel could give you
an answer on where his glaze is from though - you should ask him : ).
