Vince Pitelka has written a very good article about Sylvia Hyman and her work in the 2004 Issue 56 of Ceramics: Art and Perception quarterly, titled "Is that really Clay?" Of course the work is incredible, but then you read that Mrs. Hyman is 86 and still perfecting techniques. Take a look if you need some hope and inspiration. The whole issue is full of beautiful clay work using many different processes and philosophies. I feel like a happy sponge, soaking up all this good stuff. Toni Smith in Ohio
