Hello
I was am relatively new to ceramics in the united states and I am moving to seattle this weekend...I have been working in a pottery studio for handicapped adults for the past 2 years in trondhiem norway, but I had alot of alone-time to work on the wheel during the week, I love experimenting with glaze recipes and various kiln things...I was just wondering if anyone knew of a internship or apprentiship that would be available in seattle? I will be living in queen anne, but anywhere in seattle is ok...I can send references and photos of my work if you are interested...
thank you!

Hi all,
I just wanted to tell the list that I met Jenny in Norway last year, and
suggested that she subscribe to clayart.
Anyone in the Seattle area looking for a helper would do very well to
contact her, because she is a very nice person, and a talented potter. I
visited the studio she worked in, saw her work and the glazes she has been
working on.
Best from Berkeley, where we are at last having a hot, sunny day.
Thanks, Rikki

Jenny,
Welcome to Washington...the state! Real close to Queen Ann is Pottery
Northwest. Its on the back side of the Seattle Center. I'm sure you
might be able to meet with some potters there. Also, in Pioneer Square
there is The Pottery School. It's a small little place, but another
idea. I would also suggest putting some info up over in Seattle
Pottery Supply. They're on South Hanford Street, a few blocks south of
Safeco Field.
I will also forward this to the Washington Potter's Association. There
is a semi email listing that info gets mailed out to members.
