it is amazing how many materials have been used
to make wheel heads.
in kyoto, when i lived there, we only had cherry/wood.
wonderful to work on. solid, about three inches thick.
i have made a half dozen of them. some with two laminates.
added pins.
thick, about 5 inchers. added those to the jt abernthey wheels
i built years ago.
i no longer use them, the old skutt dc-1 is my main wheel.
as is.
in the north of japan, seto....i saw many
hard bronze heads.
in the 70's i did not see one aluminum head as we
have here in the u.s.
mr. uchida claimed that each loc~al in japan had unique wheel heads.
i have seen cast concrete,
a really nice solid aluminum, 19 inches across.
i still have that one.
on loan.
i would bet on 500,000 btu's.
most of those burners were half million.
adjust the orifice and it would change some.
again, depends on the orifice size.

Thanks, but I don't know if I want to tell them it was that much since
there're 6 burners and the line will only provide 650,000 BTU/hr.
