This discussion re: throwing large amounts of clay and centering has had a=
=20
lot of good advice. However, somewhere along the line I had picked up the=
=20
idea of centering by pulling, which I do, especially with any amount of=20
clay over 10 lbs. I could not remember where I had gotten the idea, so I=20
went back to the archives.

I found a good description of the "left hand on top" method of centering in=
=20
a post by Doug Gray from 1996. I also finally found the post from Dannon=20
that describes the pull method of centering which she said that she learned=
=20
from Val Cushing.=20

It also would seem to me that the pull method would work for those who=20
throw standing up.
