Hi All,
I am going to make some cookware from white
stoneware(soldate-60) and want to eventually use it on
my glasstop electric stove using infrared as heating
source. But I have become concerned about abrasion
possiblities of the glass surface. I am sure that some
one has faced this before, but if not may I ask,as I
am a novice to almost all of you, what suggestions do
you
have? What would be the firing suggestion best for
such
stoneware ( I can do max of cone 10) what about the
bottom of the ware.?~ would it work better with a flat
bottom or putting a rim on bottom since as I
understand the stove, the process there is heat by
radiation rather than by conduction. I assume the
bottom would be better glazed ( or maybe not the rim
if I put one on the ware?) How would you do this??
Thanks for any help
