Tom & Elaine Coleman have been creating with clay for almost 40 years, are
in numerous public, private, corporate, and museum collections. Early in
their career, Peter Lane wrote the book, "The Mud Pie Dilemma" epitomizing
the life of Tom & Elaine Coleman as studio artists finding and making their
way of living from their work, raising a family, dealing with galleries,
buyers, etc. The book describes what artists go through on a variety of
levels as they strive and become successful in a very "muddy" profession.

Tom is the author of 3 books, numerous clay bodies, and is known for his
famous copper reds, beautiful shinos, crystalline matt glazes and celadon.
