Hi Clayarters,
On the subject of videos, does anyone know of a video available specifically
on big ware throwing? Or failing that, how I can get hold of a copy of the
film/video of Isaac Button throwing? (Made by Mr Fournier and I think the
Crafts Council, about the pottery at Soil Hill, Halifax, West Yorks in the
early 70's, just before it closed for good). I saw it years ago and it was
inspiring and sickening by turns. But great to see how to throw a pancheon
or bread crock in under 3 mins. Thanks,
Ama Menec, Totnes, Devon, UK.

I have stock in the company.
My video on Traditional Thai Pottery (VHS) is sold (wholesale and
retail) by the Archie Bray Foundation ( I get no money from the
sale. All goes to their residency program) I do get presteige,
possibility of dvd sales should I come out with one etc.
In it you can find closeup video of several methods of coil throwing. I
learned to coil throw from the video. Other people retail it include
Steve Bransman (sp former clayarter).
If you wand to learn to center 100# of clay you need something else.
