Gary Holt on wed 22 sep 04

For anyone interested in attending the October 3
talk at UC Berkeley Art Museum, Sheila Keppel
has sent me this additional information about free
admission:

Because of space considerations, we need to limit
the number of potters bringing pots with Asian (not
necessarily just Korean) influence (and getting in free)
to eighteen. To get on the list they should sign up ahead
of time with me by phone or email. First come first
served. They should bring (at own risk) not more than one
or two small or medium sized pots between 2:30 and 2:45.
The program will begin at 3:00 with a discussion of
Korean ceramics and presentation by Gary Holt and myself.
I am borrowing some examples of each major period of
Korean ceramics to add to the early 5th and 6th century
Korean stonewares on view. After this discussion, we will
probably all get up and look at the tables of
Asian-influenced ceramics, and each potter is encouraged
to make a short statement about the work that she or he
brought in. Looking forward to a fascinating program, Sheila.

To put your name on the list please call or email me at home,
