Hello everyone,
It would be great to sell my house to a potter. (I'm asking $135,000.) =
For almost three years, I've made a living selling pots out of the =
studio behind the house in Rocheport, Missouri. (I had only used a wheel =
a year before opening Black Dog Pottery; and I've only participated in 2 =
shows the whole time.) So I honestly believe that a better potter, with =
better marketing skills, who wanted to go to a few shows a year, could =
really find a greater income than I did. But I made a living selling to =
people who came through this "historic" little river village. There are =
3 B&B's, several antique shops, restaurants. And the Katy Trail, a =
hiking/biking trail across Missouri, also goes through Rocheport. So =
there is enough traffic through the week and weekends to sell some pots.
The house is small: two upstairs bedrooms, with kitchen, living room, =
bathroom and small office downstairs. the basement is for storage. (Nice =
size for a couple, or single parent with kid, but not for a multi-child =
family) The lot is one of the biggest in town, over an acre, with lots =
of trees and a flower garden. Aside from the studio, there is a tool =
shed and covered kiln in the backyard.
Rocheport is 14 miles from Columbia, the home of Univ. of Missouri. =
It's a small city with opportunities for entertainment, occupation.
I'd be happy to send photos, answer questions, for anyone that's =
interested in this opportunity.=20
