i know, i really know when a scream comes from
my wife...in her studio, that she has just finished a
long manuscript and has spelled the word moon, mooon.
she loves to do the letter O.
anyway.
nothing leaves the house that is not perfect.
as it should be.
i have held copy for many years.
often, checked three times.
and being dyslexic is never an excuse.
if you have a problem, you ask others to double check
your work. three times. only an ass would
send that sort of work out there, into the public,
and then try and deny it.
but then i think, why would tv people be able to
know the difference?...most newspaper people
never correct mistakes. the local paper is full of
them every day.
i worked at the old minneaplis tribune for 7 years.
people would argue for hours over grammatical
structure. not now. most do not care.
and, that is a fact.

Ah! The Gentle Art of Proof Reading.
Another skill that schools are failing to teach.
Now then Mel, tell us? Did you teach students in your ceramics classes
the Gentle Art of Spelling the terms you introduced to them?
Best regards,
Ivor Lewis.
