Welcome Cathy,
If you've gotten the desire to find a lump of clay, make something,
burn the hell out of it just to see what happens you're in the right
place. I find it interesting we are both new students in that you just
found clay and I just found out how to use this computer stuff and I'm
almost 60.
Two things to remember. There's a lot more to making pots than
throwing and watch your breath once in a while.
Good luck and stay in there!

Hi!

I'm glad I found this list - it's super active and now it's not so hard
finding ceramic people to talk to.
Well, my name is Cathy, I'm 17, and a senior in HS. I'm taking my
third year of ceramics and LOVE IT! Love it so much. I was denying the
artist in me for a long time, and just last Thursday I decided, "what the
heck, i'll major in ceramics since that's all I truely enjoy." Sooo I
hopped online, did a lot of research on colleges, and stumbled upon this
list. Some of the topics you guys cover I've no clue about, but that's
great because I can get exposure to stuff that I probably won't learn in
HS. I'm a thrower, and am not too fond of sculpting. Well, just wanted to
say hi!
