Kevin, after attending a Mel Jacobson workshop, I had the answer to salvage my old Olympic electric kiln. It had given me over 200 firings (early on at cone 10) and needed new elements. The perfect time to ITC 100 the innards. What I found was that as I logged each firing, I could predict almost to the minute when that kiln would shut off. (Just a kiln sitter, no computer.) With a full load of bisque or glazed ware, I know how to plan how long it will take. No more guesswork and no more difference when my basement studio is hot or cold depending on the time of year. Recently I found a gift of a bigger kiln, which as I refurbish it, I will again use the ITC 100. Thanks to Mel and Tim Frederich for all their patient advice, it was like a new kiln and it keeps on chugging along. Good luck. Toni Smith in Ohio
