Dear Steven,
To follow up on my open post to Clayart I have the following
suggestion which perhaps we could regard as confidential.
As we both know, flocculation can be induced with acidic compounds.
These allow us to manipulate the Hydrogen Ion Concentration.
It is possible to do this without introducing extraneous elements such
as Magnesium or rendering the resultant liquid corrosive with
Hydrochloric acid if you can saturate the water with Carbon Dioxide.
Carbonic acid only exists in solution and cannot be isolated.
At 15=BA C Carbon dioxide is ten times more soluble than Oxygen. Solid
Carbon dioxide is readily obtainable and you could rig up a feed line
through diffuser blocks (Aquarium Style) to get maximum effect.
Will it work? Who knows but there is one way to find out.
Best regards and good luck with this venture,
Ivor.
