I'm interested in pictures, too, Billie. I bought my original kiln
at a show in Anaheim (show prices were very good!) where I'd
taken a 3 hour drop-in class on slumping. After a couple dozen
slumped pieces I decided that that wasn't what I was looking for either
.... continuing to pursue the journey through a couple more
endeavors before I found clay.

Lately I've been thinking about slumping glass into clay .... I
have a huge falling apart lamp shade created from "art"=20
glass. Wonder if that would work......

In the Mojave where the furnace man's coming today to
winterize the house! Hooray. Our desert kids are running
around in parkas with temps in low 60s. Figures, I guess.
These are the same kids who play tennis when it's in
the 90s F. Rained most of the night Tuesday..... lovely
sound. Mojo and I sat in the car for an hour listening to
the rain drum on the roof and smelling the creosote .... the
house is white again, too...... the stucco stays desert tan
most of the year. I know I confuse visitors when giving
directions to our home.. I say the "white house with red
roof on the left"...... they often pass right by the "tan"
house. Fortunately, there are few houses so they eventually
find their way back. I usually see what I saw when=20
..... nice part is
that if I meet you when you're forty, you'll forever be
forty to me .... looking right at you twenty years later.

Joyce, you might try visiting www.warmglass.com. That site offers a wealth
of glass information and includes a very popular message forum.
