I am doing the series of Earthenware test glazes from the Greg Daly Glazing
and Glazing Techniques. Some of the Australian Frits vary and the
equivalent of their Ferro # 4064 equals American Ferro # 3626 which has
also been discontinued. Daly suggests the use of either Lead Bisilicate or
Ferro # 3403. Can someone who has tried his color responses (page 78-79)
tell me if they had good results with Basilicate or the Ferro # 3403? Not
sure which way to proceed. I have never worked with Lead Bisilicate and
might be time to start. Of course I would have to use on non food items or
mark the pieces as not food safe. Thanks for your help.
