I would like to do some glaze tests for Earthenware colors and am looking
at Tin Glazed Earthenware by Daphane Carnegy. The suggested formula calls
for the following: Where do I find these Pemco Frits?. My regular supplier
does not offer these. Or can you tell me as far as a commonly simple
(which is not always immediately clear) glaze might go - Which Frits would
be considered Alkaline? Thank you.

High Alkaline Frit (P 2250) 23
Standard Borax Frit (P 2953) 55
Chine Clay 15
Tin Oxide 8
Zirconium Silicate * 6
*(sub zircopax)

Ferro 3124 = High Alkali (lists Pemco 311 & Hommel 90 as equivalents,
but not P2250)
Ferro 3134 = High Boron Frit (lists Pemco 54 and Hommel 14, but not P2953)
I hope that helps a little!
