Dear Laurie,
I have made pizza stones for many years. First I mixed my own clay body
that worked very well. When I moved to North Carolina I found Highwater
Clay Phoenix clay body. I use this all the time. I have three pizza stones
I have used for a long time. They are even glazed and decorated, but you
could use the stone without glaze, I guess.
