Dear Clayarters, seems as if everybody is tired of the ITC subject,
since I got no answers here. I talked to the owner of ITC yesterday. He
is a very friendly guy and very willing to promote his product. He said
the same things as Mel said, except that I do not have to wash the kiln
out, but spray with water over the whole kiln.(remember we talk about a
new kiln) He said I do not have to worry about elements that will have
to be broken out afterwards and that ITC does not melt into the bricks.
A 1mm layer is enough. I still would like to get a visual picture of
this product on a sprayed kiln, but I am more at ease about it now. I
have no doubt that this product would work, since too many persons are
positive about it. It is just a very expensive product and I have to
know exactly what I am getting myself into, especially on a new kiln
before doing it. Then there is the question if I will loose my warranty
on a new kiln if I do that.
Regards.
