who cut? bricks

I don't see what's bothering people about cutting up a firebrick. When you
do get to see the Lark 500 cups book you will see Sheilas entry chosen by
Tom and Elaine Coleman. She had two traditional shino glazed sake cups on a
long pedestal/tray that was a cut insulating brick that she glazed in carbon
trap shino. I think it looks amazing!
Hell I have a bunch of bricks in my wood kiln that i like a whole lot better
than many of the surfaces on my pots. I even had a brick collection. I once
bought a trailer truck load of overfired bricks cause i loved the look of
them. I couldn't bring them when I moved.
