asbestos gloves

If asbestos mits are getting difficult to source, why not buy a
cheap fire blanket sold for kitchen use and make yourself a pair?
I do not know what that stuff is, but it is pretty good folded
double.

Sincerely

Janet Kaiser -- still nursing a badly burned and blistered
finger.

I have found the "oven mitts" bought in most stores, do a good job when
handling hot pots, kiln shelves, etc. Not too expensive. The Mitts are
actually gloves with 5 fingers and are very flexable and easy to use.
