Hi petra, not sure if this is what you are referring to, but i was =
looking for an excuse to share this treasure with the list in any event =
(and the treasure came from the archives in the first place, as all good =
clay treasures do).

Was wanting to find some reciples for crackle crawl lizard glazes for a =
project i am working on. Robbin hopper's book had only two. clay art =
archives led me to a WONDERFUL website from brian gartside in new =
zealand=20

Website is here: http://www.gartside.info/crawledglazeschart.htm

Brian has great ideas (not food safe) for creating glazes that have =
extreme texture. and he produces a set of three posters with the reults =
of multiple combos of materials with recipies printed on poster. =20

If this is what you mean by "fisures" and cracks, you'll love this site. =
=20

i'm gearing up for massive series of tests.......

Subject: fissures on purpose

Hi all,

I just got a nice unglaced pot, decorated with different engobe slips, =
=3D
that has very natural looking fissures and cracks on the outside.
Can anyone tell me how to provoke such fissures in the clay by avoiding =
=3D
the pot break?
I tried to use clay layers of different moisture (one dried, one moist), =
=3D
but that didn't work.=3D20
Maybe I have to apply something, but I don't know what.=3D20
Can anybody help me?

regards
