a lid for any bucket

Buy a roll of bungee cord, cut it to fit around your bucket and tie a GOOD
not in it. Put heavy plastic sheet, cut to size (I just use a big recycled
bag, the double thickness helps) put it over the mouth of your bucket and
slip the bungee cord over it. If the bungee cord is tight enough and the
sheet plastic heavy enough, you can even stack them (a bit)

For small containers a baggie and a rubber band work wonders.

If you live in a place the that has one of these things called a "sun" then
keep your plastic out of it because it degrades it then your stacked
buckets become "unstacked". We don't have to worry about that here in Belgium.
