Howdy y'all:

All this talk about finding buckets reminds me of David Hendley's blue
bottle guy.

I have had the great pleasure of helping David fire his kiln on a few
occasions and during one of them (I think it was his last open house) he
melted down some blue glass bottles for me in his fire boxes. We water
shocked them and he sent me home with some free glass cullet. I was feeling
bad and I told him to forget it. I didn't need to take his blue glass. I
would find me some when I got back home. David kind of smiled and told me
that he has no shortage of blue bottles because one of his good friends
always saves blue bottles for him. Even years after David no longer needs
blue bottles, David's friend keeps bringing by blue bottles. He's David's
blue bottle guy.

Well my blue bottle guy is my sister-in-law and for her the blue bottles are
plastic containers from 5 gallon buckets to yogert cups....WITH lids.
David might not agree after 15 years of blue bottles but we are lucky to
have our blue bottle guys. My sis-in-law is a tireless bucket forager. I
will soon be set for a long time.

So all you folks in Claytown. Tonight pray for your very own blue bottle
guy. It will happen and when it does you will marvel at the wealth beyond
the dreams of avarice that shower down on you.

Man, I've got to make that woman a tea set.
