Just want to let anyone in Western Washington know about the
opening and artists' reception of a great show and sale this
Saturday, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Karma Place Gallery and
Japanese Garden. The show continues though December 19th.

It's an invitational show of Northwest Women Artists whose work
is influenced by Asian aesthetics or themes. There are four
potters in the show: Kathy Lusher of Seattle, Patricia Morse of
Bellingham, Lynn Dee of Lummi Island, and myself. There is also
excellent work in calligraphy, painting (oils, watercolor, sumi-e),
jewelry, quilts and other art made from vintage Japanese fabric,
and mixed-media work.
The show is curated by Tatsuo Tomeoka, of Seattle and Mt.
Vernon, WA (and a good friend of Lee Love!) It includes
internationally known artists as well as local emerging talent.
There will be live koto music starting at 2 p.m. The address
of the gallery is3533 Chuckanut Drive, out of Bow, WA, telephone
# 360-766-6716.
