After 72 firings (without a disaster) one finally happened. No need for me
to go into detail but all the glaze flaked off one large soccer ball sized
pot and fused to my ITC coated Advancer shelf. Some of the glaze also
flaked off onto the soft brick ITC coated floor of the kiln. One light tap
with a chisel and the glaze came right off the shelf as well as the floor
and without digging into the floor brick. --- I love my ITC, best kiln
coating I've ever used in my 50 years of work in clay.
And ....besides that, I just realized that the inside of my ITC coated
soft brick kiln looks as new as it did the day after my first firing after
spraying the kiln with ITC.
This is an unsolicited endorsement - I just wanted to share my pleasure
and satisfaction with ITC.
