I was intrigued by Louis's firing results.=20
I dug a bit deeper. I was wrong...sort of. Very interesting tidbits =
that confirm the blue firings.
The msds and ingredients now often cryptically list "magnetic oxides". =
From the last time I looked ( several years ago ) many toners have been =
modified and "supercharged". Apparently the old ferrite / iron oxide =
wasn't enough for the speeds and quality in modern machines. Magnetic =
stripe readers also created a demand for changes.=20
Now cobalt-samarium ceramic magnets and others of that ilk are being =
ground superfine, then added to the toner mix.=20
Not all toners, not all companies.
Just another corporate way of keeping us in the dark for our own good.
