print of hamada kiln

For some reason, my ISP server let me upload some photos.

I put up some of my first completed woodblock prints (going to but them
in the community center cultural festival.) First one is of Hamada's
noborigama, from an old black and white photo. The next two (hit next
twice) are of one of my yunomi and a shigaraki pitcher.

Thanks Gary. I have been having internet connection problems, but they
seem to be gone today. I have plans for new prints. I am doing a
kiln series and maybe more prints of pots. We hung our hanga club
show at the Bukakai ("cultural club" festival.) The gymnasium is full
of painting, calligraphy, prints, photography, lacquer work,
woodworking, you name it. It is really inspiriing: all these folks
making art for the love of art and not for money or to "get
famous." The Unknown Craftsman/Artist is alive and well.

I haven't tried to sell photo prints. My 6 year old Canon
digital is under a megapixel. I just bought a used digtial from the
Tokyo PC user's group email list, that is 3.2 mega pixels, that should
make better prints.

Which types of uploads have your tried on Fotki.com? I
have found that the Java applet works sometimes, when the other ways
don't.

Take a look at this photo I just upload to Fotki as a test
(Kittens we rescued from the Shrine woods next to our house. Someone
dumped them in the woods, putting a box over them so they couldn't
follow them. We only kept one Larry, who had his "family jewels"
removed last week but seems to be as good as new now. We found homes
for the other four):
