Carol!
The piece is allowed to dry too fast...keep it covered with plastic the
proverbial "forever"...If pieces are allowed to dry slow they WILL NOT
CRACK. Period!
The "People Pots" on my web site, some of them 24" tall, and combinations of
wheel thrown parts and handbuilding techniques were under wraps for as much
as 10 weeks.....
Patience is the magic word...
