Many years ago I went to an old pottery that was being demolished, lovely
old bottle kilns and all. I went to buy some hard fire bricks for my first
wood kiln. Amongst all the tools and equipment left behind was a "Saggar
Makers Bottom Knocker's Bottom Knocker."

I took it home and unfortunately it was left in my storage Shed at Arcadia
and the white ants got to it.
For those that want to know it was a circular wood disk about 30cm (12")
round, 7.5cm thick and hadan iron handle bolted on to it.
