I just wanted to let everyone know about a new book by eminent British =
potter Mike Dodd.
'An Autobiography of Sorts' is very different kind of book in that it is =
not a 'how to do it' but chronicles Mike Dodd's career, touches upon his =
personal life and the fragility of his personality and presents his =
thoughts and fears about the environment and the abuse that it suffers. =
The book is copiously illustrated, beautifully written in a descriptive, =
almost painterly style and includes essays written about Mike and his =
work by critics, collectors and fellow potters.
I can thoroughly recommend this book to you all - it is an enthralling =
book to read and a visual feast for those just wishing to browse the =
photographs.
