I should hope not -- the thought is quite frightening!
Re: quantities of clay for tests, though, I think the
25 lb. bag most suppliers use as a minimum is really a
pretty good amount to start with.
It often takes a few different figures to know how
clay handles; I think that you should do a plate or
platter to see how it holds up, something tall, a few
plain bowls, something with a spout, something that
takes pulled handles, etc. 25 lbs. goes by pretty
quickly.
