Check out The Art League of Alexandria's Annual Pottery Show and Sale. This year it's at a new location: The Art League School Madison Annex: 305 Madison Ave., Alexandria, VA. (That's about 7 or 8 blocks north of Old Town's King Street, on Madison between North Royal and North Fairfax Streets).
Show & sale hours: Thursday, December 9 from Noon to 6 p.m.; Friday, December 10 from Noon to 6 p.m.; Saturday, December 11 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday, December 12 from Noon to 5 p.m.
At the show you can see the students' and ceramic residents' work and take a peek at the Art League's extensive ceramics facility (classes resume on January 3). Fifteen percent of all sales will benefit The Art League of Alexandria. There will be plenty of temptations, so bring your checkbook or cash - credit cards cannot be accepted.
