On the NikonAF film camera list, folks were conjecturing weither
the latest Nikon film camera release would, in the future, be able to
accept a digital back, to turn it into a digital SLR. I think this
might be the best way to go, seeing how fast digital is evolving: when
a quantum jump in image sensor arrives, you can just change the back and
not have to get a new camera body and lenses. There are several medium
format cameras that you can currently by digital backs for. They are
very expensive.

This would also be handy because you can always put a film back
on if you have to take 35mm.
