one of the things that mark did that was very important:
he turned out ALL the lights in the studio...all the lights.
only the three floods were on.
we worked at night.
no ambient light at all. no odd reflections.
mark works with a flashlight on his head.
turns it on when walking around in the studio.
he would turn on and off the three floods to see what
shadows would occur. on and off, move them, one at a time,
on and off.
concrete floor.
solid tripod.
no other light sources.
and, he knows photoshop like
