Andy Goldsworthy is building a new project called "Roof", a series of 9 =
slate domes in a small garden at the National Gallery of Art in Washingto=
n, DC.
It can viewed thru a glass window at ground level in the gallery or from =
the gallery's mezzanine looking down into the darkened centers and their =
slate backdrop.
Goldsworthy and his team of 5 British stonemasons will take a break for t=
he holidays and return next month for the final construction.
In 2005 he is coming to San Francisco and doing a major installation call=
ed "Faultline" in front of the new De Young Museum which reopens fall of =
2005
